Town’s Portico

In 1411, a square (market) was built, which was donated to the Municipality by King D. João I. Around 1430, the market operated under a porch near Santa Maria’s Square. It was rebuilt in the 16th century, having undergone works in the 19th century and served as a town market until the middle of the 20th century.
