Centuries of devotion and taste for art have made Óbidos a true museum, with a considerable collection of paintings from the golden centuries of Portuguese painting. Baltazar Gomes Figueira and his daughter Josefa de Óbidos are the best known names, but to which we would have to add others like Diogo Teixeira and André Reinoso.
