Royal Duck’s Trail

This route has its starting and ending point near the Vala das Salinas and follows the banks of the Lagoon in the area of Braço da Barrosa, also having, as an alternative at high tide, passage through the viewpoint overlooking the area of the old salt flats, with unique views of the Lagoon and surroundings. An eminently nature trail, it allows the observation of birds (ducks, herons, flamingos...) and a less accessible area of the lagoon, with a very rich fauna and flora, connecting, next to Cal river, to the municipality of Caldas da Rainha.
